Currently I am a PhD candidate, but active in teaching and development of teaching as well. My research focuses on the performance of wooden interior surfaces, with emphasis on material behavior of wood in daily use, human-wood interactions and surface treatments. 2013-2017 I will be working in the AEF (Aalto Energy Efficiency) –project Wood Life: Energy-efficient living spaces through the use of wooden interior elements.</p>
<p>
I have done pedagogical studies both in Helsinki University of Technology and in Aalto. In December 2012 I completed the 60 ECTS credits that are required for the pedagogical qualification in the Finnish universities. I am responsible for the Bioproduct Technology –course Wood Products: Properties and Performance (4cr, period III) and an interdisciplinary project course: Integrated Interior Wooden Surfaces (4cr, periods III and IV).</p>
